Linda Batchelor of Northampton, Massachusetts has exhibited her work both regionally and nationally. For the last 30 years she has been working with monotypes and collages.  This medium is well suited to her explorations in color and pattern and the emotional harmonies they create.  In her most recent paintings, she has been working from her grandchildren's drawings and exploring primitive work reminiscent of the CoBrA group of post World War II Europe. In 2023 she rejoined Zea Mays Printmaking studio and will be enjoying a mentorship program through spring of 2024.  Her new work explores different ways of printing and piecing while holding onto what she's built over the last decades.

She has been awarded many prizes, including awards by Joann Moser, Senior Curator of Prints at the Smithsonian American Museum of Art, Washington, D.C., by Marc Pachter, National Portrait Gallery, Washington D.C., and by the National Association of Women Artists. She has a studio at One Cottage St., Easthampton MA.

Next Open studio:  December 2024
