Linda Batchelor of Northampton, Massachusetts has exhibited her work both regionally and nationally. For the last 30 years she has been working with monotypes and collages at her studio in One Cottage Street, Easthampton MA. This medium was well suited to her explorations in color and pattern and the emotional harmonies they create. In 2023/24 she committed to a year long mentorship at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence MA. She is now an active member of Zea Mays and has moved her studio to new spaces in Florence where she works with printmaking, drawing, painting, and multimedia work. Her new work explores different ways of printing and piecing while holding onto what she's built over the last decades.
She has been awarded many prizes, including awards by Joann Moser, Senior Curator of Prints at the Smithsonian American Museum of Art, Washington, D.C., by Marc Pachter, National Portrait Gallery, Washington D.C., and by the National Association of Women Artists.
